Hi! My name is Amolak Ratan Kalra. I am a graduate student at the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC) in the University of Waterloo. My advisor is Prof. Michele Mosca.

My broad area of research is quantum information. My work is at the crossroads of mathematics, theoretical physics and quantum information.

I am particularly interested in synthesis and arithmetic of quantum circuits, error correcting codes, quantum information theory and the mathematical foundations of quantum computation.

Some phrases and words that capture the spirit of my research program are "Physical Mathematics", "Foundations of Quantum Information" and the slogan "(Quantum) Information is Physical"

I have also closely worked with Prof. Jon Yard.
